A friendly local community club based in Hinton Waldrist providing respite for carers and a place for older people to meet with friends old and new.
Why choose us?
South Oxfordshire has a large rural community which can often leave the older generation feeling isolated and lacking a social space. At the Cedar Community Club we strive to create a warm and friendly home from home for all our clients and their families.
We want you to feel a part of our friendly community and also try new things. That could be singing, dancing, art and crafts and many other stimulating activities. Of course, you can just sit and read the newspaper and have a quiet chat if you prefer!
We regularly have guest musicians and choirs to entertain us, and members of the local community often visit and share their skills and interests with us.
Why wouldn't you choose us?
- Each day have a 2-course meal, and there are numerous opportunities for tea and biscuits throughout the day.
- Each week there is a range of activities such as seated exercises, quizzes, games and singing.
- Each month we have a trip out (funds depending) to either a garden centre, pub lunch, bowling at the Kassam or concerts.

Testimonial
One afternoon when I collected my husband from the Cedar Club, I was asked if he played the piano as they would like someone to play "Happy birthday". I said I would see how he felt about it at home. I gave him his mandolin and he played it straight away! At home now he frequently picks it up and strums a few tunes. Thank you Cedar Club for bringing back this pleasure to him.
